Testable Subject Areas on the New Jersey Bar Examination


The New Jersey Bar Examination consists of the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), seven 45-minute essay questions. The MBE is a six-hour, two-hundred question multiple-choice examination covering Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts. The New Jersey Bar Examination is administered over two days in February and July each year during the last week of the month that includes a Wednesday. The MBE is administered on Wednesday and the essay exam on Thursday. .
