Testable Subject Areas on the New York Bar Examination
The New York bar examination consists of three parts: The Multistate Bar Examination (MBE), the New York local section, and the Multistate Performance Test (MPT). The New York local section consists of 5 essay questions and 50 multiple choice questions prepared by the New York State Board of Law Examiners. The exam is administered over two days in February and July each year during the last week of the month that includes a Wednesday. The New York local section is administered on Tuesday and the MBE on Wednesday.
